How to Make a PDF on iPhone (4 Free Ways)
Your iPhone can create PDFs without installing any app. Depending on what you start with – paper, a web page, photos or a document – one of these four methods will do the job.
1. Scan paper documents with the Files app
- Open Files, tap ⋯ (More) › Scan Documents.
- Capture the pages and tap Save – the PDF appears in the current folder.
2. Save a web page as PDF in Safari
- Open the page in Safari and tap Share.
- Tap Options at the top of the share sheet and choose PDF.
- Choose Save to Files.
3. Turn photos into a PDF with the Print option
- In Photos, select the images and tap Share › Print.
- In the print preview, tap the Share button and choose Save to Files to save the pages as a PDF.
4. Convert photos to PDF in your browser
Open JPG to PDF in Safari, add photos from your library, drag them into order and download one PDF. The conversion happens on your iPhone – nothing is uploaded – and you can then shrink the file with Compress PDF or add a signature with Sign PDF.
Where does the PDF go?
Saved PDFs appear in the Files app (On My iPhone or iCloud Drive). From there you can share them by email, WhatsApp or AirDrop.
